I know this is a forum for math teachers, so I post links and try to provoke discussions about our favorite subject. Today, though, I want to point y'all to a guest post that Andrew Hollinger, an English/Language Arts teacher in the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas, wrote for the LTF Blog. It's a New Year's reflection on the values that underscore our work--in a greater sense, our lives--as teachers. I found myself nodding in response to Andrew's remarks, and I enjoyed his take on where LTF resources fit into the big picture of what we do in the classroom.
