    I'm sure you've heard that the Center for American Progress released a report this week that concluded that students in US schools are not challenged enough and that expectations are too low. The report can be accessed here: www.americanprogress.org/

    Some of the big hitters in education commentary have gone on record now with reactions to the way the data was handled and reported. This is from Diane Ravitch's blog, for example: http://dianeravitch.net/2012/07/11/an-important-p-s-to-the-schools-are-too-easy-claim/ This link is, in fact, to a "P.S." for her original commentary. You can get to it from the link in the first line of the P.S., and it features Ed Fuller's analysis.
