Several articles are out on the "tubes" today heralding the merger of the National Mathematics & Science Initiative (NMSI) and Laying the Foundation (LTF)!! The formal partnership of the two nonprofits, which will become official on January 1, begins a new era of service to the Pre-AP, AP, and Common Core communities of teachers nationwide. Quote of the day: “This is about the students. By joining forces and leveraging the talent and resources from both NMSI and LTF, we will reach more teachers who will challenge more students to succeed in the critical fields of science, technology, engineering and math or STEM,” said David Saba, president of LTF. “The whole will become greater than the sum of its parts.”
