    One of the things that I like about this article is how the authors not only identify the misconceptions students have with the flow of energy within an ecosystem, they also list the corresponding correct ideas. They take it a step further by proposing alternative wording to prevent further misconceptions. Very thorough. The article is free, but you do have to download it into your library (account).
