The LTF One-Day Administrator Orientations are specifically designed for district and campus level administrators and counselors to provide information about the LTF program philosophy and teacher resources. Administrators learn how LTF fits into the campus and district plan for creating a cadre of highly effective teachers. These sessions also model the proper environment necessary for linking middle school Pre-AP classes to high school Pre-AP and AP classes.
Administrators will start the day together with an overview of how LTF materials and resources can be infused into any curriculum to raise the level of instructional rigor. After this session, administrators will be able to rotate through teacher training sessions in English, math, and science for a firsthand look at training. The day will conclude with administrators coming together to review and discuss their observations from training and LTF tools for administrators.
Laying the Foundation provides a variety of administrator tools including goal planning forms, equipment and technology checklists, implementation rubrics, and observation forms to assist districts in maintaining the fidelity of the LTF program. The teacher and administrator self-reflection and evaluation tools help districts evaluate the implementation of the training program.
