"I plan on using one lesson a week. All of the foundational lessons will be done at some time. The plant science and physiology ones will be done in my advanced biology class. The cell ones and the genetics ones will be used in sophomore biology. Many of the labs I currently do may be replaced by one or more of the LTF lessons."

Summer Reading

Every spring, English departments, English vertical and horizontal teams, and individual English teachers consider the appropriateness and the advisability of assigning summer reading to their students. While we all want to promote continuous independent reading among our students, we can maximize the effectiveness of summer assignments by thoughtfully and carefully considering the instructional objectives of such assignments for students. “Summer Reading Q & A” presents suggestions for organizing and implementing a summer reading program, and “Summer Reading Considerations” offers helpful hints and troubleshooting tips to teachers and school programs as we introduce and carry out  summer reading projects in our schools.
